Growing up in the Midwest, we’d often hear radio advertisements for upcoming monster truck events. They’d usually go something like this:

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! Come and see Doug “Big Daddy” Plank in Synchopation take on Kurt “Kool Kustomer” Weaver in the Weaver Armada! There’ll be thrills, spills, chills and lots of fun for all ages. Be there!

Ten days ago, we had a similar announcement during our Sunday meeting. Pete got up and announced the unthinkable–groundbreaking is here! Even writing it, I still have a hard time believing it. This is also as good a time as any to let you know that I’ll be overseeing the building on behalf of the pastoral team. So, for the next 50 or so Wednesdays, I will be posting regular photo updates of our building progress. God has been very, very kind to us to bring us to this place, and it will be fun to see what the next year holds. Exciting times are ahead.
