Here is a wonderful evangelism story from Angela Borghi. Angela, and her family, are faithful members of Crossway Church and an example to us all. May this testimony build up our faith to continue to share the gospel even with family members who don’t believe in Christ Jesus as their savior.
Recently one of my cousins that I almost never saw growing up just moved to the area. I felt like God was putting him on my heart as a result of going through the first several lessons in Proclaim. He is a very philosophically minded, intelligent, deep-thinking individual. Yesterday I got to spend several hours talking with him about things like God and absolute truth. It was very clear to me that God was dropping an opportunity to share the gospel right in my lap! As we approached the end of our time together, I thought, I should just ask him the “How Good Are You?” question. I wrestled with it for a moment, thinking he would think it was a stupid question, but I went for it. “Can I ask you a question?” I said. He said, “Sure.” I asked it, and by God’s grace I went on to explain to him his and all of mankind’s need for a savior from God’s wrath because of sin. He listened to me. Then he asked me a question, “If in 5 seconds I were to die, you would believe that I would go to Hell.” I said, “Yes”. Then he asked if that thought bothered me, and I answered, “Absolutely it does”. He followed up by saying, “Then God’s wrath bothers you.” I said, “No, God’s wrath on sinners is just”. I explained that it would bother me to know that he would have died without coming to know the truth. I told him that it was because of that reason that I had explained the gospel to him. It would be unloving for me to know he was on the path to destruction and not tell him. I pray earnestly that the Holy Spirit would work in his life to bring him to Christ.

Good Work Angela! How kind God is to provide that opportunity for you to share the gospel with your cousin, and kudos for taking it!
