What Happened to the Apostolic Team? David and Marie, both members of Sovereign Grace churches, recently wrote to us asking essentially the same question: does Sovereign Grace Ministries’ apostolic team still exist? Below is an expanded version of our responses to them, posted here in case others in our churches have the same question……..  Read the entire article here

Lititz 2 Caregroup

The Lititz CG lead by Lydon and Jamie Sentz sent out James Haughery this week to relocate to Gaithersburg, MD.  After 28 years James will be moving back to Maryland and Covenant Life Church, the church he was sent from. For the last 6 months James has been making preparations to start a new business in food service. He will be partnering with a close friend in starting a lunch truck business selling specialty hot dogs and chili on the University of Maryland campus. We will be sad to see James go. He will be missed by his CG and many others here at Crossway.

As he is leaving he wanted to communicate a few thoughts in his own words,

Dear Crossway Church

I just want to thank you all for being a part of my life over the last 28 yrs. God has used this church to help make me into the person that I am today. There have been so many significant moments of my life spent with you. Through it all I have learned that “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil”. As I move forward into the next chapter of my life I look back with love for the church that I grew up in. Thank you!

This picture was taken at Dave and Becky Howell’s Caregroup meeting this past Wednesday.  While watching the PROCLAIM video, a rowdy family of 7 showed up on our doorstep with treats for all.  What a pleasant and welcome surprise!

I have been trying all day to find the words that convey our gratitude to James’ caregroup for all the love and support and help that they have extended to him. Look at that picture. Those women made food for him…..over and over. For years. Through all kinds of sorrows. Those men have helped him fix his house and sort out his heart. And there are many more…..throughout this church….who have been there for James.
As his mother, you can do me no greater kindness then to love my child. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
And Lyndon and Jamie….you have been there with James for it all. I have so many memories with you right there. I can never repay you. Thank you.
We’re excited for James as he steps forward with everyone’s blessing. Wherever he goes, part of here will always be in him. Thank you to my wonderful church.
    Cynthia
